ENHANCE LEARNING EXPERIENCES

Restorative Practices in Schools

Restorative Practices can be used in schools, particularly in classrooms, to help create a culture of care and a sense of connectedness in schools. Research shows that there needs to be a sense of school connectedness with caring, nurturing relationships between the teachers and the students so that there can be an increase in the students’ positive experiences of schooling and a movement away from zero-tolerance punishment strategies.

Restorative Practices Services offers a licensed 2-day professional development training:
Introduction to Restorative Practices & Using Circles Effectively.

Introduction to Restorative Practices & Using Circles Effectively helps participants thoroughly understand restorative concepts and learn effective strategies for managing behavior and teaching young people to take responsibility for their actions. It also teaches participants the value and process of circles.
